SUPERMAN Fights THOR in Epic Battle of the Gods Mashup Trailer

What is an evil super genius to do when his superior intellect has consistently proven to be no match for the awesome power of a god? Easy: you get another god to destroy him for you. No, no, this isn’t about Batman and Superman (it’s not even about Nuclear Man, thankfully), this is about someone whose power on earth is a lot more like Clark Kent than Bruce Wayne could ever hope to be, because if you are Lex Luthor and all your best efforts to defeat the Man of Steel have proven futile, you team up with fellow duplicitous mastermind Loki to trick Superman into fighting Thor.

This DC/Marvel mashup comes from the folks at Screen Rant, and it imagines what it might look like if the god-like son of Krypton blamed the hammer-wielding god-like son of Asgard for the death of his father Jonathan Kent.

While they did use the Henry Cavill version of Superman from the Zack Snyder cinematic world in this crossover, they used the version of Lex Luthor as played by Kevin Spacey from Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns, instead of the Jessie Eisenberg millennial Lex Luthor of Batman v Superman. We’d definitely be all in on a pairing of Lex Luthor and Loki, though we’d imagine it would be easier to get Thor and his temper to hate Superman than the other way around, so maybe this plan isn’t perfect.

But the absolute, unquestioned, best aspect about this premise? We know that Superman’s dad and Thor’s dad definitely don’t have the same first name, so we wouldn’t have to deal with any “Save….Odin!” coincidences during the big confrontation.

So who you got? Who wins in a battle of Superman and Thor? Tell us your winner and why in the comments below.
