Thirty years ago, Nintendo Cereal System brought Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda-inspired cereals to the American breakfast table. While the first Nintendo cereals were discontinued in 1989, recent rumors suggested that Super Mario Odyssey would lead Mario to once again get his own cereal. And as it turns out, the rumors are true!
Cerealously had the initial report about the new Super Mario cereal, which was finally confirmed by Kellogg’s official Twitter, via Mashable. And whether fans like the cereal or not, they will almost certainly be interested in the box that it comes in, as a limited number of those will actually have Amiibo functionality for Super Mario Odyssey.
We can confirm this product is being released in the US but not currently in the UK. We will pass your feedback on! Thanks.

As for the cereal itself, it appears to a consist of crunchy oat stars, and “power-up marshmallows” based upon 1-Up Mushrooms, Super Mushrooms, and ? Boxes. We’d say something about eating this cereal as part of a balanced breakfast, but really, who does that? If you’re gonna go for Super Mario cereal, then you might as well go all the way.
