Suit-Up with the Full FLASH Costume

You’ve already seen a profile shot of Grant Gustin’s head in the costume for CW’s The Flash series; now you can drink in the entire thing in this fantastic full-costume shot of Gustin’s Barry Allen running right at us! Holy cow!

 

Wowzers, that thing looks cool. The costume was designed by Academy Award-winner Colleen Atwood, who won for her work on Alice in Wonderland, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Chicago. Of Atwood’s design, pilot director and executive producer of The Flash David Nutter said, “I hope the fans who treasure the character are as excited as we are by what costume designer Colleen Atwood has achieved with this latest version of The Flash’s iconic suit.”

  1. Because Wrinkly Leather and large Pointy Lightning Bolts are what a high speed superhero needs to be wearing in a fight…yeah. The guy would be safer in an Olympic Speed Skater’s uniform!

    It’ll be good to see him stood up, so we can get a better view, it’s a strong look, though, and it’s a proper superhero costume on TV! Hooray!

    It suffers from the current trend for costumes to be very busy in their design, but there y’go…

    I’d’ve liked the white circle, but its not the end of the world, and when he stands up, maybe we’ll see the lightning belt…
