SUICIDE SQUAD’s New International Trailer Has Even More Joker

“Let’s do something fun.”

Based on this new international trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, that certainly appears to be the message Warner Brothers is promoting to potential moviegoers—this film is going to be fast, funny, action-packed entertainment.

This latest trailer is very similar in structure and tone to the great one already released, as it once again using Queen‘s “Bohemian Rhapsody” as its score. However, this one has far more scenes and much quicker cuts, ramping up the urgency and giving us some never before seen shots from the movie (the kind that requires us to constantly pause and dissect.) There are lots of lightning quick new images of the Joker, and none more exciting than the one showing Jared Leto decked out in a white tuxedo, driving dangerously with Margot Robbie‘s Harley Quinn riding shotgun.

There also appears to be more shots in this trailer showing the carnage and destruction that will take place in the movie, giving it a very big budget feel.

It would be easy to say that Warner Brothers wants to promote that this movie will be fun and maybe even a little silly in lieu of the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which took itself very, very seriously. But this trailer is actually just more of the same tone they pushed with the last trailer, so it’s probably more a reflection of what kind of movie director David Ayer made.

Suicide Squad opens August 5th.
