Sudeikis & Sons: Mumford & Sons Gets a Comedic Makeover

Mumford & Sons’ latest musical endeavor is chock-full of their usual acoustic serenading, blissfully interlocking harmonies and… hold up, is that Jason Sudeikis? Yes, that’s right. SNL alumni Jason Sudeikis and Will Forte, The Hangover’s Ed Helms, and Arrested Development‘s Jason Bateman have banded together for Mumford’s “Hopeless Wanderer” music video, and it is five minutes full of self-deprecating, bro-on-bro, bass-humping glory.

The video begins all quiet on the pastoral front with abundant lens flares helping to obscure the crooners’ faces, but once the song switches from triple to duple meter, all hell breaks loose in a hilarious hijinks hoedown revealing the impersonators’ identities. Whether you’re a fan of the bearded brotherly banjo-slinging band or not, you’re sure to have a good laugh.

I don’t know about you, but I would pay top dollar to see these guys as a touring act. Sudeikis & Sons? Yes, please! What do you guys think?

How did this gem slip through my fingers?

  2. Rachel says:

Totally thought it was a fan made video (since “Mumford” didn’t look quite right). Nope, just the greatest casting in a music video ever. Watched to many times to count.

LOVE it! I would wait in line for those tickets 🙂
