STRANGER THINGS’ Millie Bobby Brown Quizzes Stephen Colbert to Get in Her Squad

If there’s one thing the current press tour for Stranger Things is proving, it’s that Millie Bobby Brown is a fantastic actress. Though we know Eleven as a very tortured character with a dry, almost vacant personality, we’ve come to realize that in real life, the girl is precocious, bubbly, outgoing, intelligent, and fun. Brown’s latest stop was a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night where Stephen Colbert did what we’d all love to do: he tried to get into Brown’s squad.

The squad doesn’t currently have a name, but it does include Maddie Ziegler (best known as the dancer from Sia’s music videos), and may not include Colbert. He didn’t do so hot on the entry quiz, which asked him to define different millennial slang terms. He didn’t know what “bae” stands for (Before Anything Else) and he didn’t quite nail the definition of “lit,” but he did know that “RT” means “retweet.” Still, a 33% score isn’t a passing grade on most tests we’ve taken.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Brown also relayed three of her deepest fears: Sharks, the dark, and bungalows. Why bungalows? “It’s a house with no stairs,” she said before making this expression:

Alright, we’re convinced. No more bungalows for us.

Brown also reprised her role as Eleven for the show’s cold open, in which Colbert, as Dr. Martin Brenner, needed Eleven to use her telepathic powers to accomplish two very important tasks, which we won’t spoil before you watch the quick skit for yourself below.

Colbert may be out of the squad, but this could bode well for him landing a guest role in season two…

Have you heard about the real life conspiracy theory that inspired Stranger Things?
