Odds are good that, even if they don’t live in one of the nine areas listed above, hardcore fans will travel to the closest theater they can in order to get an exclusive look at the first live action Star Wars footage in nearly ten years.

As more news drops about the trailer and where it can be seen, we’ll be sure to fill you in right here at Nerdist.com. Will you attend a showing at one of the nine theaters to see the Star Wars trailer? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. Evan says:

The “Miami” theater is actually in West Palm Beach, 60 miles North.  I’m thinking the trailer is going to be 75 seconds of the title, then Jar Jar hopping out and saying “me so ready to be the star of this new movie.”

    • John Duncan Yoyo says:

Just as accurate with the DC theater.  Tyson’s Corners is in Northern Virginia.  At least the mall is on the Metro now.

  2. Jonny Rogers says:

Holy crap! Jar Jar IS going to be in this movie! He signed his name right there! JJ! What else could that possibly stand for?!?! *sly face emoji*

  3. Travis says:

Hell yea! I gotta drive 30 minutes but it is going to be well worth it!

  4. Ryan says:

I live 5 minutes from the Theater in Houston. I will now be going there this weekend.

  5. Orionsangel says:

It’s gonna be very surreal for me. More so than the prequels. For over 30 years I’ve thought of other Star Wars films and what they would be like…For example Obi-Wan fighting Anakin on a Lava Planet. That thought was with me since 82. Eventually it came to pass and while it was surreal. It won’t be as surreal as seeing old Luke, Han and Leia.

The movie of them as old people has been with me since I was little kid. I would imagine it in my head. I even had dreams about it, but it was something that I thought would definitely never happen. Lucas always dismissed it and he became too old. I gave up on it. Now it’s actually gonna happen. It’s a bit unreal for me and I don’t know how I will react. Emotional I bet.

  6. littleradish says:

I hope these are really the theaters. I am planning to go to the Spectrum on Friday.

  7. amysrevenge says:

” the first live action Star Wars footage in nearly ten years.”

Seems like so much longer ago than ten years.  I think I file all three prequels in the 90s in my brain.

  8. Orionsangel says:

You just know it’s gonna leak online. It has to!

  9. Sugar Ray D. says:

I’ll wait until somebody posts it on YouTube…no need to be impatient, since doing so won’t speed up any release dates !!

  10. Dean says:

Too many people too excited about the Star Wars movie. I’m a huge fan and all, but I’m starting to get turned off about the lies, rumors and people who think that they know the inside information. Let’s all just calm down and wait. I’m just as excited as the next fan boy, but c’mon!
