Star Wars Celebration delivered panels, teasers, and information for many corners of Star Wars fandom. There was the new teaser for The Force Awakens, a trailer for Battlefront, the Season 2 premiere of Star Wars Rebels, and plenty of tidbits for fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Even though The Clone Wars was cancelled two years ago, unproduced scripts are still trickling down to fans. We’ve seen stories intended for the animated series play out in comics, as unfinished animatics, and some scripts will be explored in an upcoming book (Dark Disciple by Christie Golden). One untold story that’s been mentioned frequently is the “Bad Batch” arc. Dave Filoni brought the four-episode clone trooper-centric arc to Celebration in the form of incomplete story reels, and Lucasfilm has now released those story reels online.
Dee Bradley Baker–the voice of all the clones in The Clone Wars–stars in the episode as the four members of the Bad Batch, Hunter, Tech, Crosshair, and Wrecker. As their title implies, these clones came out a little malformed. Their genes were further manipulated to turn them into a group of special soldiers who get sent out on equally special missions. For fans of The Clone Wars, these are can’t-miss episodes.
If you’re left wanting to know more about the “Bad Batch” arc, watch the panel from Celebration with Filoni, Baker, and writers of the “Bad Batch” arc Matt Michnovetz and Brent Friedman:
