Having Star Wars Rebels back with new episodes is exciting since it’s new Star Wars–duh–but also because it means fresh inspiration for artist Ksenia Z. I came to know her work because of the animated series and have featured some samples of her art in Fan Art Friday last summer. Since then, she’s created dozens of additional pieces, but I’m focusing on some of her most recent illustrations. The one that’s jumped out at me the most is this portrait of Grand Admiral Thrawn:
Ksenia nails the character’s elegance and and ferocity.
And for something that hits a different note, please admire this pic of Hera covered in a pile of Tooka cats that have patterns matching the outfits of the Ghost crew. I’m particularly smitten with the little Chopper cat; it melts my heart.
Scroll down to the gallery below to see more wonderful Rebels-inspired fan art by Ksenia. You’ll find Ezra, Ahsoka through the years, and season three Kanan. Then, visit Ksenia on Instagram and Tumblr to follow more of her work and shop for prints and other merch featuring her art on Society6 and RedBubble. And oh hey, she takes commissions.
Which piece of hers is your favorite? I adore the one of Hera and the cats because, well, cats. Tell me your pick in the comments.
Also: if you create fan art or follow any particularly awesome artists, get in touch with me at [email protected] and share your/their work for a future edition of Fan Art Friday.
