STAR WARS’ Original Trilogy is Going on a Re-Release Roadshow

A long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, three films—three seminal, game-changing, universe-creating, world-defining films—were released into the world, effectively creating an entire pinnacle of our culture. And now, those very films will be re-released into theaters once more. Grab your nearest BARC speeder and position its destination to your nearest Alamo Drafthouse theater, because that’s where “The Return of the Trilogy” roadshow screenings of the original Star Wars trilogy will take place.

Now, since we know the question is on everybody’s lips: no, they won’t be the original, despecialized editions of the films (sorry)! Instead, all three films — Episode IV – A New Hope, Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, and Episode VI – Return of the Jedi — will be shown in their 1997 re-release format. Regardless of your opinions on that, the fact still remains: even the thought of seeing Star Wars on the big screen, in any format, is rad as hell.

Below you’ll find the current list of dates for the traveling show, but note that additional dates and locations are still to be announced.
