Celebrate STAR WARS Day With an EDM Cover of Celldweller’s “Imperial March”

John Williams’ “The Imperial March” isn’t just one of the best tracks from the galaxy far, far away, it’s one of the best tracks in movie history. But on May the 4th, which we all affectionately know as Star Wars Day, it isn’t exactly ideal for a celebration, since we prefer dancing to goose-stepping. Fortunately for this year’s geekiest holiday the Dark Side’s iconic anthem is getting a version worthy of the Outlander Club on Coruscant, with Pegboard Nerds own EDM mix of Celldweller‘s hit dance cover.

The Danish-Norwegian DJ duo Pegboard Nerds have cranked up the bass on Celldweller’s popular dubstep version of “The Imperial March,” which was used for an amazing Christmas light show in Texas last December. This new mix amps up the song’s Star Wars touches even more, with additional sound effects from the franchise, including–fittingly–way more droid beeps and boops, along with other custom sounds and original vocals based on the movies.

Hey internet, you know how much we love you, right? Do you think you could come through for us yet again set this song to the celebration at the end of Return of the Jedi? Cause we’re going to need that. It’s not that we don’t love “Yub Nub,” it’s just sometimes you want to celebrate Star Wars by tossing off your Jedi robes and hitting the floor of the hottest night club in the galaxy far, far away.

Even if it means chanting “you don’t know the power of the Dark Side.”

You can listen to the song on Spotify or stream and purchase the song here.

What other Star Wars song would you love to hear these artists team up on next to give an EDM makeover? This is the comment section you are looking for, so your best suggestion below shre with us you must.
