John Boyega has been very open about his love of gaming and for the Star Wars: Battlefront title that was released in 2015. With the sequel, Star Wars Battlefront II, right around the corner, Boyega has lent his voice to the newest trailer for the game, running down nearly every mode of gameplay and the latest additions to the title. Boyega even offers a first look at the artwork for two the game’s newest hero and villain characters: Finn and Captain Phasma!
Throughout the trailer, Boyega makes a pretty compelling pitch that Battlefront II has corrected many of the issues that fans had with the first title. For example, the gameplay locations have nearly tripled and there’s finally a single player campaign. The latest trailer once again introduces Iden Versio, the leader of the Empire’s Inferno Squad. The single player campaign will follow Iden on her 30-year quest for revenge against the New Republic, which will close the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.
As related by Boyega, the multiple game options and upgradable heroes and ships make the title seem very enticing. In particular, we’re looking forward to the Hero vs. Villain mode, which will let players to call on 14 of the main characters from across all three Star Wars eras.
Star Wars Battlefront II will be released on November 17 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
