Certain movie automobiles are as famous (or infamous) as the movies themselves. The Batmobile, the Delorean, or any of the number cars driven by 007 are among the best remembered, but surely one of the top contenders on that list, especially around the Halloween season, is the immortal Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters. A converted ambulance, the Ecto-1 is one of the most distinct looking and sounding cars in the history of cinema.

In the Crave Online series Star Cars, host Athena Stamos takes a look at some of the most impressive of these cinematic four-wheelers. The Ecto-1 is the subject this go-round, specifically two of the eight that are in existence right now in the United States. At 21 feet long, eight feet wide, and 6,200 lbs, it has to be one of the largest Star Cars not appearing in Maximum Overdrive, but you need all that to house your PKE Meters, your proton packs, and your steaming traps full of ghosts.
