Those of us with kitties in the house know the joy of squishy little cat feet. Some of us have suffered for it with a bit of feline slicing and dicing, but it’s impossible to resist those teensy paws. If you’d like to play with them without losing a digit, the Pnitty Mouse is here to help. Don’t even try to say that out loud. The name comes from the Japanese memetic word puni puni which means “squishy squishy.”
The mouse is in the shape of a little paw and actually looks comfortable to use. When you turn it upside down, there are five little squishy pads that you can press to your heart’s content.
The pads are made of silicon (which is washable) and will make you feel like you brought your fuzzy buddy to work with you. You can imagine these are puppy paws as well — the manufacturer does state that it could be both. The project is currently being crowdfunded over at Makuake with a reach goal of two million yen that includes a black version of the feetie-pad mousie.
Not content to squeeze little paws on your computer? No worries. If you pledge 4,850 yen to the crowdfunding campaign, you get the Pnitty Mouse, plus a separate center paw pad to stick wherever it will comfort you the most. They’re currently (at the time of this article) at 20% of their goal, though they have 51 days left in the campaign. So, is this the cutest freaking thing you’ve ever seen? Would you be able to get any work done with a mouse like this or would you be squeezing it all day long? Would your kitty even let you near it? They do love to sit on electronics.
