“Real-Life” 3D-Printed Patrick from SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS Will Haunt Your Nightmares

With The Shape of Water winning the Oscar for Best Picture at this year’s Academy Awards, a lot of people on Twitter have been having fun with the absurd what-if of whether or not they would be willing to have sex with a fish monster. However the hypothetical has mostly been based on whether they would shack up (fishbowl up?) with the actual beast from the movie, which is dramatically different than whether or not they would sleep with any conscious creature from the sea. Because believe me, depending on the specific ocean denizen that is a very different question. Just how different? Well imagine someone asked if you’d be willing to sleep with this 3D-printed, “real-life” version of Patrick from SpongeBob SquarePants and see if your willingness clams up.

BURN IT WITH ALL THE FIRE WE CAN MAKE AND THEN BURN THE ASHES!

This comes from artist Miguel Vasquez, who is found of turning the adorable denizens of Bikini Bottom from Nickelodeon‘s beloved animated series and other cartoons into haunting nightmares.

We’re not even sure which of his versions of Patrick is his most terrifying one.

“Both.” The answer is “both” versions are the scariest.

Which is why if you get asked about whether or not you’d be willing to get freaky with a fish man, make sure you specify which fish man. They can’t all be as good-looking as the one from The Shape of Water.

Would you be willing to get intimate with the “real” Patrick? If not, tell us which sea creature actually would tempt you to cross the species barrier.
