Spider-Man’s Avengers Application Made Public As He Joins The Team

In case you were wondering if joining The Avengers was an actual career option, we are sorry to say, it’s really not…unless you happen to have been bitten by a radioactive spider. And even when you’re Spider-Man, you still have to go through all the required application steps.

Avengers Application - Spider-Man

In the lead up to Sunday’s 3rd season premiere of Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors on Disney XD, Marvel.com released the our favorite web crawler’s application for The Avengers. And if you thought getting a summer job at Starbucks was hard, just imagine the human resources hoops you’d have to jump through for Nick Fury. It’s good to see that Spider-Man appreciates his own diverse special skills, noting right alongside ‘web-slinging’ his talent for costume design. Maybe he’ll have some tips for the team though, to be fair, we can’t imagine they really need them. He also wants a jetpack as a perk, and is looking forward to breaking all of Hawkeye’s Avenger World Records. We wonder if the archer will welcome this friendly competition?

In the hit show’s first two seasons, Spider-Man learned to work with fellow Marvel heroes to protect civilians and faced off with some of the canon’s most famous villains. Who will they throw at him now that he is joining forces with Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk and Iron Man? His web-slinging will probably make for a great addition to the special skills at the disposal of the team, but we’re guessing there will be some personality head-butting before too long as well. In addition to these new teammates, Spider-Man will continue working with long-time allies, Nova, Iron Fist, Power Man and White Tiger, and later this season will welcome Miles Morales (voiced by Community’s Donald Glover), his alternate universe counterpart, to his roster of allies.

Disney XD airs Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors on Sundays at 9am ET. Here’s a clip from the new season:
