Wow this is awesome.   The only wrinkle I see is that they need to retcon spidy into the first avengers movie.  Everything else can be written off as him being a local not national hero and his involvement in the other movies would have probably just been teasers and nods.   But avengers happened in New York and that is spidy’s turf, no way he was hiding in a hole.

What I want to see is a one shot maybe a 20 minute or so mini movie showing spidy dealing with a couple of aliens in a different part of the city.

  2. Beaum says:

I think it would work best if the Age of Ultron end credits scene showed Peter Parker visiting a lab and interacting with another key Spider-man character then had the camera pan up to end with the super spider making its way towards him.  An easy way to avoid another origin movie.

    • Christan says:

I think this would be a good way to do it. We’d all get that little dose of Spidey that we so desperately crave, and then we can just jump him right into Civil War

  3. Nick says:

I don’t think they’ll do another origin story. He’ll have to be established and in costume for Civil War. So the solo film will be AFTER he becomes Spider-Man.

  4. Django says:

It should be Peter and it should be Logan Lerman.

  5. BongoDaSlick says:

    Miles for Spidey!!!

  6. Shinn says:

Bring Peter in as an established or rumored hero (University aged or older) with appearances in Ultron and a real role in Civil War, then let Miles be the high school aged Spider-Man trying to follow in Peter’s footsteps.

  7. chuck says:

Where did you get the Voltron. T shirt

    • FrackMe says:

It’s from Loot Crate.  They send you a box of random stuff.  The Voltron t-shirt was in their January shipment.  Great website and cool stuff.

  8. Christian says:

Marvel Will Bring  Spiderman alot help i mean it

    Peter Peter all they way

  9. Christian says:

Peter Peter :} I love spiderman

  10. John says:

It has to be Peter Parker played by Andrew Garfield! He was born for that role.

  11. RedwoodCoast says:

NO NOT THE ORIGIN STORY AGAIN.  Sell re-issued comics for that!  I’m OK with youngster angst, Spiderman has been about that young man awkwardness.  WOULD Prefer NO REVEAL of Spiderman alter EGO in the initial CROSS OVER have us kept guessing until the new SOLO flick.

  12. Chobot says:

so help me….if they force me to watch that origin story again…… i’m dyeing my hair back to blonde!

    • linkin says:

speaking of blonde sony wanted a female lead spider man movie we’re tired of see all the reboots then my i suggest SPIDER-GWEN

  13. floydius says:

They’re making Spider-Man, a supposedly “fun” character, tedious with endless reboots and retooling.  They should let Garfield stay on, appear in Civil War, and go on with Amazing Spider-Man 3.  I know Spidey started out in high school but we’ve explored that over TWO franchises, a TV show and a couple of Saturday morning cartoons, as well as the comics!  Give it a rest.  Sheesh, it’s like Batman.  Every few years we gotta sit through another origin story.  It’s tiresome.  They’re making me feel like I’M back in high school and their new crapfest of a reboot will be my homework!

  14. agirlyman says:

Your theory of Spidey appearing in Civil War is sound,  and most welcome since he was an intregal part of that storyline.
While Spiderman was solely responsible for stopping Thanos after he had defeated the Avengers, Captain Marvel and Adam Warlock in his quest to snuff out the stars for his lover Death (Marvel Two in One King-Size Annual 2), I would love to see him reprise that role even if his appearance in the MCU is short lived.

  15. Russ Linton says:

Stoked about the news but I could really go without ANOTHER Spidey reboot. People know the character and are familiar enough that we can drop him into a flick with a little more hair on his nuts. All the locker smashing angst is certainly part of his schtick, but he’s grown well beyond that through his years in the comic scene.
