Oh my Odin! Did you see the new trailer from Marvel? We don’t mean the one for Avengers: Endgame. We aren’t even talking about the latest one for Captain Marvel either. That’s right, somehow the MCU unleashed yet another trailer upon the world last week–or rather a very specific part of the world.
Fans of Earth’s mightiest heroes who were lucky enough to be in attendance at Brazil’s Comic Con Experience got the opportunity to see the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home. From descriptions, the tease not only set up the possibility for a very strange relationship, it totally flipped a lot of what we thought and expected from the movie, especially its villains and (maybe) heroes. On today’s Nerdist News, host Jessica Chobot weaves a web of insight into what we can expect from the movie when it slings into theaters on July 5, 2019.
Hydro-Man? Huh.
It’s hard to totally trust anything we see in a Marvel trailer, let alone what we hear about one, but this Far From Home teaser sounds pretty great. C’mon, Marvel! Go ahead and release it to all of us. We need to analyze it from every angle and consider how it could make sense in an Infinity War world, even though no mention of that movie’s events were referenced in the trailer.
What do you think about the firsthand reports of this trailer? Are you more excited to see the movie now? Do you think its more misdirection from Marvel? Share your thoughts in the comments.
