I nearly had my head chewed off after omitting a new Beyond Good and Evil title from my list of five games that need to come out. But judging from a quick Michel Ancel tease that Twitter user Dan Hindes pointed out from a recent YouTube Q & A session, a new Beyond Good and Evil game may be coming sooner than we think.

Around about the 2:00 mark of the following video, Michel Ancel can be seen holding a poster showing off a new redesign for series protagonist Jade. Skip forward and watch closely:

Now while there’s a high chance that the artwork Ancel is flaunting may simply be fun concept art, you can’t deny that the timing of this tease suggests otherwise. We’re only less than a couple of months away from E3, and Ubisoft just confirmed its E3 press conference for June 9 at 3 pm PT earlier today. As of now, I’m merely speculating, and there’s still no confirmed date for Beyond Good and Evil 2, though that’s not to say we won’t be seeing it at Ubisoft’s press conference this year, especially after today’s development.
