Sony Announces PlayStation TV for the U.S. and Canada

When Sony announced PlayStation TV for Japan last summer, we all wondered if their tiny game and media streaming device would be heading West. Wonder no more, because during their E3 press conference, the hardware maker announced that PlayStation TV would be heading to the U.S. and Canada in the fall.

Priced at $99, the set top box can stream games from your PS4 to another TV or PS3 and Vita games from the PlayStation Now subscription service, which is currently in closed beta in select markets. The publisher is promising “hundreds” of PS3 games and “most” Vita/PSP/PSOne games will be accessible through the PlayStation Now at launch.

Sony also announced a PlayStation TV bundle which would include a Dualshock 3 controller, the PS TV hardware, an 8 GB memory stick, and a download code for The LEGO Movie Game.
