Often times there is no good explanation for why something sets the internet off and running. For example, the Chewbacca mask lady—why, out of the millions of things that hit the world wide web everyday, did that explode into a supernova of viral energy?
However, when it comes to the internet craze we’ll be talking about today, the whole thing makes complete sense. I mean, when the star of the hottest musical in the world creates a new hashtag, one that combines his show with the most popular program on television, well… people are going to get excited.
