It always surprises me how Snoop Lion (formerly known as Snoop D-O-double-Gizzle) is able to remain relevant in pop culture after all of this time. I remember growing up hearing him proclaim his passions for 187-ing undercover cops, but now I can’t even watch Hot Pocket commercials without hearing a signature verse from the veteran MC.

Now Snoop Lion has taken his talents back to the video games realm, with his latest music video for the song “Get Away,” courtesy of Machinima. The video pays homage to a classic era of video games, with a vivid focus on Pokemon inspired imagery. “Get Away” comes from Snoop Lion’s Grammy-Nominated album “Reincarnated,” and is definitely worth a listen, if not to view the awesome video game themed bit itself.
