SLEIGHT OF MOUTH With Justin Willman Special to Air April 6 on Comedy Central

Do you believe in magic? No, not Magic the Gathering (though we enjoy that, too). Well, leave it to Justin Willman to not only make you believe but make you laugh at the same time. On April 6, the comedian and magician will be bringing his one-of-a-kind comedy-magic show, Sleight of Mouth, to Comedy Central. Our very own Chris Hardwick along with Nerdist Industries (that’s us!), Brillstein Entertainment Partners’ Alex Murray, and Emmy Award-winning producer Robert Morton will be executive producing the special. Sleight of Mouth will offer up a mix of original sketch comedy, state of the art trickery, and some drug-induced social experiments with Doug Benson and Paul Scheer.

For those unfamiliar with Justin’s work, the comedian/magician has become a regular guest on The Tonight Show, The Ellen Show, and @Midnight. You may recognize Justin from his hit web series, Magic Meltdown. If you’re a comedy show frequenter, you’ve likely seen him at some of his sold-out performances at alt comedy venues like Largo (LA), Moontower Comedy Festival (Austin), Bumbershoot (Seattle), and Sketchfest (San Francisco). And of course, he makes regular appearances at The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail. He’s currently on tour with his new live show, Fake Believe. But what’s his greatest trick of all? Oh yes, he received a standing ovation from President Obama when he gave a private performance at the White House. If he can impress POTUS then the world truly is his oyster.

Sleight of Mouth airs on Comedy Central at 12:30am on April 6 following Justin’s return appearance on @Midnight with Chris Hardwick. Making us all the more excited about the program, Hardwick shared, “Justin is hilarious but quite honestly scares the crap out of me. His tricks are so good that I am convinced he is some kind of evil wizard who has been sent here to bring about the End of Times with his dark magic. PLEASE WATCH THIS SHOW and take vigorous notes. Your very life might depend on it!” Willman himself added, “Only on Comedy Central can a guy do magic for stoners in a pot dispensary then go head-to-head with child-geniuses in the same half-hour.” Now that’s what we like to hear!

How high is your excitement level for Justin’s special? Tell us in the comments.
