SF Sketchfest On YouTube: Hail to the King, Baby!

Each and every year since 2001, SF Sketchfest, one of the premier comedy festivals in all the land, delivers over a fortnight of funny with panels, podcasts, and performances. We’re delighted to share that SF Sketchfest now has a YouTube channel and has become a proud member of the Nerdist Alliance, the small but sprightly band of content creators dedicated to eradicating boredom and frowns.

Their first offering is a doozy – snippets from this year’s event “Hail to the King, Baby! An Evening with Bruce Campbell.” That’s right, the B-movie god himself, Bruce Campbell, sat down with Patton Oswalt to have a good ol’ chin wag about the history of all things Evil Dead. Many thought they’d entirely missed out on this legendary meeting of the minds, but now we can all partake in this grooviest of groovies. The above clip has Bruce discussing his career trajectory whilst the below clip is him explaining how Sam Raimi had him ballroom dance with skeletons.

Also up on their channel now are clips from “An Afternoon with Pinky & the Brain,” in which voice actors extraordinaire (and former Nerdist Podcast guests) Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche held court and played their famous characters in equally famous scenes from Abbott & Costello and Pulp Fiction. Below, you can see Rob doing Yakko Warner’s famous “Nations of the World” song, which will never get old.

This are merely snippets of what you will be able to see on the SF Sketchfest channel, which you can subscribe to now!

I JUST got the e-mail announcement about this. Awesome.

Now I can see some of the stuff I missed, since I was only there for one weekend (and the most Nerdist packed weekend) of the fest.

Dunno if I’ll be out in ’14, so I hope there’s more tapings and available shows on the channel while it’s happening/after it’s all over.

So…are they posting the full videos of these? Cause this is a pretty insane tease.
