Seinfeld Reunion: Super Bowl Ad For COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE

The speculation is finally over as to what Jerry Seinfeld was recently up to with Jason Alexander, or rather George Costanza, outside of Tom’s Restaurant in New York, the setting for their legendary sitcom Seinfeld. An ad airing during halftime of Fox’s telecast of the Super Bowl was a teaser for an episode of Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

In the video, Jerry has his first fictional guest in George Costanza and drives up a beat up, awkward car, a green AMC Pacer (he admits it’s a perfect car for George) on this latest episode, “The Over-Cheer”, which is essentially a Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee/Seinfeld crossover, complete with a visit from Newman/Wayne Knight.

While not all of the Seinfeld cast is in it (Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards are absent), perhaps there will be a crossover episode of CCGC and Veep. If that happens, maybe Jerry can borrow President Obama’s “The Beast”…
