So, this weekend in New York, Joel Hodgson was a guest on the Nerdist Podcast live at the Best Buy Theater on Broadway. You’ve heard Joel on the podcast before, so you can imagine that you should have been there for this one. And you should have. But rather than kicking yourself for missing the creator of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and all-around brilliant comic mind this time around, you might have a second chance if you happen to be in the right locations, so listen up.

Joel’s doing a one-man show, and it’s a PowerPoint (or Keynote, if you’re Mac-centric) presentation. Really. It’s called “How to Have a Job Like Mine,” and it’s perhaps the first PowerPoint deck that you’ll WANT to see. And when you go to see Joel, you’ll also get a “secret MST3K screening.” Yes, you definitely want to see this.

And you can, if you’re anywhere near one of the shows he’ll be performing in the next month or so. Here’s the list:

On October 19th at 9:30 pm Eastern, Joel will bring “How to Have a Job Like Mine,” including the MST3K screening, to the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, PA, not too far from Philadelphia or a large portion of the mid-Atlantic states, right there past Valley Forge off Route 422, so no excuses.
