See Green with Nerdist at Emerald City Comicon

You’re out of the woods, you’re out of the dark, you’re out of the night, figuratively speaking, of course, because those of you attending this weekend’s Emerald City Comicon in Seattle, WA, March 28th-30th, will get to experience all the best comic books, movies, TV, gaming, and more. The convention continues to grow every year, last time getting almost 65,000 patrons hungry to scope out the action and engage in discussion panels on every level of fandom possible. They’re very thorough.

Some of this year’s star guests include Arrow‘s Stephen Amell, Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman, Chad Coleman and Emily Kinney from The Walking Dead, Star Trek‘s Nichelle Nichols, Michael Dorn, and John De Lancie, big screen Bones and Almost Human star Karl Urban, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s very own Deathlok J. August Richards, and many more, all appearing throughout the weekend. Check the convention website for specific days.

You know who else is going to be at Emerald City Comicon? NERDIST! We’ll be there all weekend with panels and coverage from the green-tinted extravaganza. On Friday at 11:30 am in Hall A (611-614), don’t miss Nerdist.com Live! Join our illustrious Editor-in-Chief Brian Walton, Gaming Editor Malik Forte, Sex Nerd Sandra Daugherty, and maybe even a special guest or two from a very Thrilling podcast to discuss all things in the nerd world and engage in some good-natured debating.

Also on Friday in the same room at 3:30 pm, join Ben Blacker for an episode of The Nerdist Writers Panel, in which he’ll talk with Greg Rucka, Cullen Bunn, Matt Fraction and Kelly Sue DeConnick about writing. They’re writers, you know.

On Saturday at 4:30 in Hall A, Malik Forte will be back with the Nerdist Gaming Panel. He’ll be joined by Sax Perrson of Project Spark, and more as they talk about all the latest news in the gaming world, Next Gen systems, and the very state of gaming culture today.

For a little extra goodness, Saturday night at 8:00pm at the Moore Theatre, there will be a joint show between The Thrilling Adventure Hour and Welcome to Night Vale, the two biggest scripted-horror-sci-fi-comedy-radio-style podcasts in the whole world. This is a ticketed event and is NOT included with the price of admission to the Con, though, so if you want to go, you’ll need buy tickets separately.

As if all of that weren’t enough Nerdist goodery, we’ll be LIVE STREAMING from the floor of the convention each of the three days from 2-3pm on the Nerdist Channel.

So, if you’re going to be there, come by and say hello and join us for all the nerd-related greenery.
