See Cole Stratton’s 140 CHARACTERS At NerdMelt Showroom In L.A. Thursday

Hey. you know Cole Stratton from our very own Pop My Culture on the Nerdist Podcast Network, right? (And from his work on SF Sketchfest, too…) Then you know he’s a very funny person, and if you’re in L.A. Thursday night, you’ll have an opportunity to confirm that in person.

Cole is performing his solo show 140 Characters at NerdMelt Showroom at Meltdown Comics tomorrow night (Thursday, October 17th) at 7:30 pm, and the idea’s both simple and brilliant: He portrays 140 characters by reading from, yes, their fictitious Twitter accounts. And he does it in under an hour. That’s a lot of funny in a short time. And if that’s not enough, Steve Agee will be on hand to do an opening guest set.

You need celebrity endorsements? Okay, how about Saturday Night Live alum Laraine Newman? She says, “This show was awesome. I hate using that word because it’s overused and might undermine it’s true definition but Cole is an innovator and I highly recommend this show.”

And Doug Jones adds, “Cole Stratton’s ‘140 Characters’ is a brilliant concept that shines a punny light on the ridiculous side of social media, and he performs with comedic perfection. So many big, hilarious characters coming out of one little fella. I laughed until I was hoarse.”

Yeah, that’s definitely something you want to see. And you can, for $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Click here for info and tickets, and follow Cole at @colestratton. Do it!
