See 4 New Kombatants in Action in MORTAL KOMBAT X Trailer

Leatherface? The Xenomorph? No, we aren’t talking about the best horror movie monsters of all-time,  we’re talking about the newest Mortal Kombat X characters coming to your console, and they look awesome and ready to fight.

Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment has released a trailer for the newest Kombat Pack, and we get a chance to see what the new characters have to offer. It involves lots of gore (and some heavy drinking).

There’s Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Xenomorph from Alien, the return of “liquor enthusiast” Bo’ Rai Cho (who originally debuted in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance), and a new/old character named Triborg, who is a combination of three older cyborg characters (Sektor, Cyrax, and Cyber Smoke).

According to Mortal Kombat Online, in addition to the four new combatants, the new Kombat Pack will also include:

Previously Unreleased

  • The Apocalypse Pack – “apocalyptic” character skins for Erron Black, D’Vorah, and Takeda

Previously Released

  • Goro
  • Brazil Pack – character skins: Futbol Cage, Capoeira Liu Kang, and Gaucho Kung Lao
  • Kold War Pack – character skins: Motherland Sonya, Tundra Sub-Zero, and Revolution Kano
  • Kold War Scorpion – Kold War-themed Scorpion character skin.

The first Kombat Pack was thirty dollars, so that might give us an idea of what to expect this time around. I’m sure there will be some folks that are unhappy that so much of the package includes content they already paid for, but it’s tough to say that’s surprising.

On the bright side, at least you’ll be able to attack someone with a facehugger. That’s probably worth the price alone.
