Schwarzenegger Acts Out His Film Career in 6 Minutes on THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN

Ever have that thought where you’re like, “True Lies would have been so much better if Jamie Lee Curtis’ character was played by a chubby British man!” No? Neither have I, but who knew it’d be so damn funny! Here is Arnold Schwarzenegger himself acting out some of his more iconic roles with new The Late Late Show host James Corden.

In a segment that has already been a high point of The Late Late Show, “Role Call” as Corden calls it, condenses an actor’s career in a rapid fire play of the most memorable scenes. Back in March, Corden did the segment with Tom Hanks and they absolutely knocked it out of park. This time, ducking in and out of frame for each, Schwarzenegger and Corden tackle the long film career of the actor-turned-Governor-turned-actor-again in just 6 minutes. In those short minutes they hit both classics and flops – Conan the Barbarian, Kindergarten Cop, Jingle All the Way, Pumping Iron, The Expendables, Commando, The Running Man, Twins, Predator, Escape Plan, Total Recall, Batman & Robin, Junior, Last Action Hero, Terminators 1 & 2, and of course True Lies.

The video has some seriously high points, such as hearing Arnold advise us about the imperative need of relocating one’s self to nearby choppahs and getting one’s ass to Mars. Also, let’s face it, you’re having the worst day ever if Schwarzenegger singing “Yakety Yak” again doesn’t put a smile on your face.

Unfortunately, there are some low points as well. Well, actually just one very low point. Our lives will forever be a bit worse having now heard Arnold Schwarzenegger tell a television audience why he can’t get up after the True Lies reenactment. Now that I think about it, I suppose we all dodged a bullet considering another scene from Pumping Iron they could have done.

Hopefully Corden keeps doing more “Role Call” segments. What film career would you like to see done in this manner? Let us know in the comments below.
