Say Hello to This Disturbing Recreation of the TELETUBBIES Intro in GTA V

Ah, Grand Theft Auto and children’s programming go together just like peas and carrots, right? Right?!

Okay, maybe they don’t, but YouTube user Merfish’s newest video is so perfect that we just can’t look away. If you liked his recreations of the Pokémon theme and/or the Friends intro, you’re not going to want to miss out on the new Teletubbies-inspired one he recently posted. In the words of my main man Adam Jensen, “I never asked for this,” but boy am I happy (and slightly terrified) that it happened. If you think you can handle, check out the video at the top of the page and prepare yourself for a sleepless night.

Gif Teletubbies GTA

If that’s not nightmare-inducing, I don’t know what is. The video is a spot-on recreation of the popular UK kids show’s intro. It stars Trevor as Tinky Winky, Franklin as Dipsy, Lamar as Lala, and Michael as Po. The guys are all garbed in the appropriate colors, and sport similarly shaped (and totally inappropriate) objects on their heads. Seriously, Trevor has a martini on his head. It even features a  special cameo at the end by Lester as the creepy baby face sun.

For those who are (luckily) unfamiliar with the show’s introduction, Merfish also uploaded a side-by side comparison video. Check it out below:

There’s just something about seeing the Teletubbies greet and chest bump with each other on one half of the screen, while GTA characters murder each other on the other. It’s almost poetic.

What did you think of the video? Which show or film do you want to see Merfish tackle next? Let us know in the comments below.
