We’re only days away from the release of Captain America: Civil War. Regardless of whether you choose Team Cap or Team Iron Man (Cap is right and everything else is wrong, by the way), you can stay on team fashionable with a fresh off the sewing machine collection by Catherine Elhoffer of Elhoffer Design. She has exceptional skills in the department of creating geek chic fashion that is subtle, snazzy, and unique. She was inspired by a few characters from Civil War and came up with dresses based on the costumes of Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, and the Winter Soldier. Let’s drool over them!
The Cap dress looks the comfiest to me. It’s made from textured spandex and comes with a hood because you can be casual and save the day all at the same time.
Don’t look on your left because you should keep all your attention on her Falcon cape dress (pictured below). It’s all about angled color blocking and two shoulder capes that are basically wings. Please note how the sewn details on the capes simulate feathers. So. Clever.
You can see the rest of the heroic collection in the gallery below. If you’re left craving a Civil War look like these or have an idea based on Vision or anyone else, Elhoffer takes commissions. She also has some ready to wear pieces listed on Etsy.
Which styles in this collection are making you have a case of grabby hands? Let me know in the comments.
