Of all the many great shows making either their first or returning appearance during this yearâs fall television season, none are as heartbreaking as NBCâs Parenthood. After spending the last four years with us, the show will bow out of the spotlight with its sixth and final season, consisting of thirteen episodes, which is set to begin next week. Now, with the premiere a week away, NBC has unveiled an all new clip from the premiere, and because they love us, they made the clip of two of our favorite characters: Sarah Braverman and Hank Rizzoli:
Ahh, yes, the sweet sounds of Katims’ overlapping dialogue. Music to our massive family-loving ears.
Things really came down to the wire at the end of season five. Parenthood was the last show among all five broadcast networks to announce whether or not it would be returning because of a dispute between the massive cast and the network over how many episodes each character would be guaranteed to appear in during the final thirteen episodes. Luckily, things didnât take a tragic turn as that would have left us with on a somber, incomplete note regarding the story of the Bravermans.
Season six is going to have a lot of story to wrap up. What will become of Haddieâs new relationship? Will Drew and Natalie stick together in the end? Are things going to remain all well and good for Adam and Crosby at The Luncheonette? So many questions, and so little time to answer them all! Why does this show have to end?!
Parenthood premieres Thursday, September 25th at 10/9c on NBC
