While it’s true that Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine have indeed appeared together on screen before, it was only by way of the less-than-stellar Wolverine: Origins. So let’s put those hands together and applaud Reynolds’ desire to make an actual good team-up film featuring the two superstars. Also in today’s Movie Morsels, the latest image from Spider-Man: Homecoming, a new Rings poster, and much more!
Deadpool/Wolverine
Okay, now that both characters have decent solo films to their names, it might be time to see what Deadpool and Wolverine can do together again. Ryan Reynolds certainly thinks so. His love for Jackman and his character is well documented, and the feeling appears to be mutual. Jackman recently prepared an adorable video for Reynolds, celebrating his new star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Now Reynolds appears ready to do damn near anything to get Jackman to don Wolvie’s claws one more time after his promised final turn as the Canadian mutant in the upcoming Logan. Speaking with Variety, Reynolds says, “I have no â¨idea if I can change his mind. Itâs the audience: I would exclusively exploit that relationship to get Hugh back for another one.â
Jackman in turn tells the outlet, “Iâm hesitating. Because I could totally see how thatâs the perfect fit. But the timing may â¨be wrong.â Oh, c’mon Hugh–don’t make him beg!
Spider-Man: Homecoming
And our latest look at Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming arrives courtesy of…a Dell computer ad? Alright, alright. I’ll admit it’s not much. But after what we’ve seen so far in the film’s trailer any shot of Tom Holland’s new Spidey is welcome, so check it out below. The new suit is finally stating to grow on me…

Rings
Is it just me or is Samara’s hair looking longer than ever in the new poster for Rings? In any case, the first trailer for director F. Javier Gutiérrez’s continuation of the American adaptation of the J-horror franchise will arrive later this week. In the meantime, this will have to tide fright fans over…

Tough as They Come
In the wake of his massive Oscar-nominated comeback in last year’s Creed, Sylvester Stallone will both act in and direct Tough as They Come, based on the autobiographical book by Travis Mills. In the book, Mills, who will be played by Adam Driver (pictured above in Paterson) in the film, writes about his experiences as a U.S. Army sergeant, survival of a quadruple amputation, and his relationship with his supportive father-in-law, to be be played by Stallone. Go Sly!

The Founder
Finally today, we have the latest trailer for The Founder. While the film itself has garnered mixed reviews, Michael Keaton’s performance in the title role as the man responsible for McDonald’s has drawn a good bit of praise. And since any Keaton performance is well worth watching, I’ll be checking this one out as soon as it arrives on January 20th…
