Did the Russo Bros Confirm Our Worst AVENGERS 4 Fears?

Avengers: Infinity War is now just over two weeks away, but if you’ve been hoping for a post-credits reveal of the Avengers 4 title then you’re going to be disappointed. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo have indicated that the secret spoiler in the next film’s name will be kept under wraps for a little while longer so fans have a chance to actually digest Infinity War. However, the Russo Bros’ latest comments have us a bit concerned about the future of the MCU. Today’s Nerdist News is looking into the possibility that Marvel could lose one of its key players.

Join host and Chitauri renegade, Jessica Chobot, as she goes over the remarks that have some fans worried about Kevin Feige‘s potential departure from Marvel. After teasing some “pretty drastic” changes to the MCU, Joe Russo said that Phase 4 will be “massively different…I think that this is as if Marvel has been writing a book for ten years, it’s the end of the book, and someone is going to write a new book.”

If the MCU has an architect, it’s Kevin Feige. He brought a showrunner’s vision to the MCU that is the envy of Hollywood, and not easy to replicate. The Russos’ comments have been interpreted as a hint that Feige could be on his way out and someone else will have to take over from there.

Feige hasn’t given any obvious signs that he plans to move on from Marvel, although ten plus years is a long time to spend anywhere. And where would Feige go if he left? We think Warner Bros. and DC would welcome Feige with open arms if he could fix their cinematic universe. But perhaps Feige may be interested in moving beyond superheroes…if he leaves. It’s too soon to tell for sure.

Do you think Kevin Feige is leaving Marvel Studios after Avengers 4? Where do you want to see Feige end up? Share your theories below!
