Now that Tom Holland is set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War next year, the new Spider-Man reboot from Sony and Marvel Studios is gearing up for production. And there may even be a huge MCU appearance in the new Spidey film!
The cast list of Spider-Man has supposedly been leaked, and if itâs legitimate then Robert Downey, Jr. will reprise his role as Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man in the film. This actually makes a lot of sense. An Iron Man cameo certainly seems like a great incentive for Sony to allow Spider-Man into the MCU.
The supposed call sheet also lists Rachel G. Fox as Mary Jane Watson, Sami Gayle as Liz Allen, Jacob Latimore as Flash Thompson, and the star of Teen Wolf, Tyler Posey as Ned Leeds.
Note that the rumored leaked image only has Holland, Downey, and Marisa Tomei as confirmed. Everyone else is listed as âin talksâ or âfinal negotiations.â But if this is real, it looks like the story will feature most of Spider-Manâs classic supporting cast except Gwen Stacy.
The Spider-Man reboot will be released on July 28, 2017, and filming is expected to begin soon.
