Just a few days ago Platinum Games–developer of titles like: Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Wonderful 101, and most recently the Xbox One exclusive Scalebound–– revealed that it is prepared to reveal a brand new title at E3 this year. In addition to a mention during one of the conferences, they’ll be showing off footage next Tuesday during IGN’s live E3 2015 show. After much speculation, there is a rumor floating around that it might be a sequel to their 2010 title Vanquish.
Though we need to be careful with rumors ESPECIALLY during the week leading up to E3, this one sounds plausible because Platinum Games themselves dropped the hint on Twitter. Check it out for yourself:

If you’re familiar with Vanquish, you’ll recognize the game’s sliding mechanic called “boosting” in the image. Everything about the tweet seems to suggest that the title we’ll be hearing about will be a sequel to Vanquish, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Just in case you’re out of the loop, Vanquish was a fast-paced third person shooter developed by Platinum Games and published by Sega back in 2010. It was praised for its innovation, visuals and gameplay.
