Anyone buying gifts for Star Wars fans this holiday season has a long, long list of options. Merchandise featuring characters from the saga can be found across on everything from apparel to kitchenware.
Bluefin’s newest release falls in the high-end collectible category and could be just the thing for anyone searching for unique toys to gift. Their “Ronin” Boba Fett figure debuts this month, and I have to say the Samurai aesthetic really suits the Mandalorian bounty hunter. He looks fiercer than ever.
The figure is wearing a custom designed suit of armor. Fett’s weapons and accessories match the feudal theme of the armor, so he has a sword and several daggers tucked into the tops of his boots in addition to his rifle (which also received a makeover). Designed by artists Takeyuki Takeya and Junichi Taniguchi, the figure is gorgeously detailed. I’m especially taken with the paint because the armor looks realistically weathered. Ronin Boba Fett cuts a much more imposing figure than the plain ol’ Fett in the original trilogy. And come January, you’ll be able to buy a “Daisho” Darth Vader to stand next to Fett. They’ll intimidate all the other toys on your shelf.
Be sure to check out more photos of the collectible in the gallery below. The Ronin Boba Fett will be priced at $89.99, and you’ll be able to find it online and at various retailers. Will you be adding this collectible to your wish list? Let me know in the comments.
