Ron Perlman and Rupert Grint’s MOONWALKERS Poster is Out of This World (Exclusive)

Everyone knows that on July 20, 1969, American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first and second human beings ever to set foot on the moon. The moon landing entranced the world as humanity looked on in awe, dumbstruck by mankind’s greatest scientific achievement. But what if it didn’t happen? Conventional wisdom tells you that you would either get a long lecture (and a deeply disheartened sigh) from science editor Kyle Hill or a savage punch to the face from Buzz Aldrin. Yet the myth persists that mankind’s brightest moment was nothing more than Hollywood trickery — and that’s precisely what Antoine Bardou-Jacquet’s Moonwalkers wants us to believe.

The film stars a volatile CIA agent (Ron Perlman) who teams up with a sleazy music manager (Rupert Grint) to fake the moon landing. You know, because they couldn’t find Stanley Kubrick, the guy who actually faked the moon landing. (Please don’t punch me, Mr. Aldrin.) The film, which made its debut at SXSW 2015, is opening in theaters on January 15, 2016, and we have your exclusive first look at the film’s psychedelic new poster.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“After failing to locate the legendary Stanley Kubrick, an unstable CIA agent (Ron Perlman) must instead team up with a seedy rock band manager (Rupert Grint) to develop the biggest con of all time—staging the moon landing.”

And here’s a trailer for your viewing pleasure:
