Ride in Style with the New James Bond Edition Aston Martin

There have been many iconic action heroes on both TV and movie screens over the years. In some instances, the vehicles they use are just as iconic, sometimes feeling like they are characters themselves. The Batmobile, Ecto-1, and the General Lee are known to all.

For over 50 years, James Bond and the Aston Martin have had the same relationship Bruce Wayne has had to his car/tank. In celebration of the release of Spectre, Aston Martin has now given people a chance to own the limited DB9 GT Bond Edition.

Only 150 of these cars will be made. Based on the DB9 GT, the Bond Edition will have specific Spectre Silver paint, Sterling Silver Aston Martin Badges, and ‘007 Bond Edition’ exterior badges as well. The Aston Martin’s built-in infotainment system will have a specialized Bond Start-Up screen. No word if it just has the theme song play before you start your playlist, or if it actually has Ralph Fiennes preparing you for your next mission.

Unfortunately, the car does NOT come with lasers, jetpacks, grappling hooks, knock-out gas, or included insurance. It DOES have a 6-speed transmission, can go from 0 to 62 MPH in 4.5 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 185MPH.

For those of you that enjoy driving AND telling the time in style, the car will also come with an “Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond Limited Edition watch complete with a unique Aston Martin strap.”

The Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond edition will only run you 165,000 pounds sterling, or just over $250,000. So I’m basically going to have to hold the world ransom, with James Bond in hot pursuit, to afford the car James Bond drives. Oh, the (probably) irony.

The 24th James Bond movie, Spectre, hits theaters November 6.

So, what do you think? Have you already pre-ordered two? One to drive and the other to smash just because you can? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
