Report: THOR 3 Adds Two Writers

It looks like Marvel Studios is keeping it all in the family, hiring their senior VP of production and development Craig Kyle to co-write the third installment in the Thor series with writer Christopher Yost. These guys have collaborated before; In fact, together, they created the young female Wolverine clone X-23, and also co-wrote the revamped X-Force, which featured Wolverine on the team for the first time and led the book to new levels of popularity.

In a statement at Variety, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is quoted as saying, “I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years, His creative instincts have helped shape Thor and Thor: The Dark World at every level of the filmmaking process. The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor’s adventure.” Although planned for Phase Three, no release date has been given, but it is likely to fall on one of these dates — May 6th, 2016, July 8th, 2016 or May 5th, 2017 — which Marvel has already locked in. Chris Hemsworth is, of course, scheduled to return, and so is Tom Hiddleston as Loki, assuming Marvel doesn’t want scores of angry fangirls to storm their offices with torches and pitchforks.

This is very simple, just make a Loki – and just Loki – movie already!
