In the Season 3 finale of Epic Rap Battles, Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD have brought the Renaissance’s greatest artists, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael to life for a showdown not against each other, but against their anthropomorphic counterparts, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The end result, well, I’m not going to spoil that. Bang your head to the showdown right below:
I won’t deny it, the art historian in me is giving it up to the Renaissance bros. They came out swinging and never let up, adding turtle insults and tipping it off with their accomplishments as the rap battle progressed.
The Turtles started off in a more sincere approach, trying not to resort to violence, but well, as they stated, their Master wasn’t around, and showed off what the turtles in a half shell are all about. A part of me wishes, however, that Master Splinter made a cameo just to show who’s the real ninja in charge. Plus it would have been cool to see a rapping rat that’s not Lil’ Wayne.
Other than the sick insults both groups spit out, I must give a quick shoutout to the fast beat that they used. I can’t get the tune out of my head.
You can catch all episodes of Epic Rap Battles: Season 3 on the ERB YouTube page that includes the battle between The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes and Breaking Bad’s Walter White.

I’d say. At least TMNT helps introduce kids to the <a href=”www.ranker.com/list/famous-renaissance-artists/reference”>Renaissance artists</a>
That was pretty sweet
TMNT FTW!
“I can bebop and steady rock a mic sucka
I’m a pristine Sistine nun chucka”
“We’re the TMNT drop kickin Italy chowing on your tower made of pizza, save a slice for me”(While chanting go, go, go, go in the background?? then a mic drop? Donezo!)
Absolutely LOVE TMNT, grew up with the action figures, movies & cartoons. Even remember cereal haha. I love artist Tom Kyzivat’s take on TMNT, it’s called Renasissance. http://murderousautomaton.com/illus_tmnt.html
