A Dinosaur-Filled JURASSIC PARK-Style Experience is Coming Soon

The titular tourist attraction in Jurassic Park isn’t real for obvious reasons. Having deadly dinosaurs freely roaming and threatening the lives of your customers wouldn’t exactly inspire glowing Yelp reviews. Still, those looking to experience what it’s like to be around dinosaurs will soon have what looks like their best-ever chance: a theme park experience called Dinosaurs In The Wild is coming soon, so long as you’re in the UK.

The people behind the documentary miniseries Walking with Dinosaurs are behind this endeavor, and they describe it as a “70-minute experience that combines dramatic storytelling, scripted actors, and high-end digital graphics and animatronics to create a believable prehistoric world.” The event will feature recreations of nine different dinosaurs, including the Tyrannosaurus rex, the Triceratops, the Alamosaurus, and the Ankylosaurus. There are slated to be other fun attractions too, like a VR experience that lets you see the ancient world through the eyes of the dinosaurs, and a test of your arm strength to see how it compares to that of a T-rex.

Unfortunately for us stateside, the show is currently only scheduled to take place in the UK. From June 24 to August 24, it will be at NEC Arena in Birmingham, England before relocating to Manchester in October. Still, maybe we’ll get to see it in the US some day: Walking with Dinosaurs aired in the UK before coming to the US a year later, so perhaps this super cool show will experience the same fate.

To our US readers, is this something you’d go see if it was near you? To our UK buddies: You’re already buying your tickets, right?
