REAL FAKE HISTORY Blames The Avengers For The Battle of New York

In the pilot episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Maria Hill said “The battle of the New York was the end of the world. This – now – is the new world.” That alien invasion also led to the rise of Wilson Fisk on the Daredevil series and it helped Joss Whedon’s first Avengers movie transform the Marvel Cinematic Universe into a franchise making machine!

The newest episode of Real Fake History takes a look at the Avengers’ ultimate battle from the perspective of the man on the street…who really didn’t understand why these people in costumes had so much time to chat while the city was burning around them!

But a bigger problem for the Avengers may be the disquieting statistic that the Hulk killed more humans than Chitauri warriors in the course of the battle. Although, some of the interview subjects in this episode may not have an entirely unbiased view of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Let’s be honest: you can’t blame Hulk; the Hulk is a hero! Also, it’s totally Captain America’s fault. What kind of a military command is “Smash,” anyway?! You can’t argue that Hulk didn’t smash. Cap should have been more specific!

Tony Janning (The Legend of Neil) wrote and directed this week’s episode of Real Fake History, and he also stars as Yankee’s fan, Joey Martorana. Brooke Seguin (The Real Housewives of Horror) co-stars as Sallie Mortensen, with Phil Morris (Seinfeld, Smallville) as the narrator, and Ryan Garcia (Tapped Out) making a cameo appearance as Eddie Bender, one of the guys left behind to clean up the Avengers’ mess!

There’s only a few episodes left of Real Fake History this season, with the next episode slated to tackle Starcraft II. The remaining episodes will include spotlights on The Walking Dead, Pacific Rim, and The Dark Knight Rises.

Is the Hulk to blame for the unconfirmed casualties from the Battle of New York? And who can trust the perspective of a show called Real Fake History?! Render a judgment in the comment section below!
