Buckle up, kids, because I’m about to throw all of the latest television news at you, and there’s a lot. Today’s TV-Cap has the first page from the first episode of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, some new and shiny Westworld details, advice on 15 shows you should check out this fall, and much more.

A Happy Reunion. Netflix and Amy Sherman-Palladino shared the first page of the first episode of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on Entertainment Weekly. “Winter” opens with Rory returning to Stars Hollow to the sort of warm and fuzzy reunion you’d expect between her and Lorelai. Ready to Spin. Prep your record player for some smooth retro-new synth tunes because Stranger Things has a release date for the vinyl format. Volume one will be released on October 28 as a double LP, and volume two will arrive soon. Both feature original music by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. [Nerdist]

Not So Fast. Rumors about Angela Lansbury starring in season seven of Game of Thrones have flown around the internet these past few days, but everyone needs to cool their jets—it’s not true. The rumor originated in a tabloid called Bild, so it’s not exactly surprising that the statement is false. The actress’ team confirmed to EW on Wednesday that Lansbury won’t be heading to Westeros. Too bad, because it would have been amazing. What if she could play a friend of the Queen of Thorns? [Entertainment Weekly]

Hot Tips. Fall television premieres are nigh and that means making some tough scheduling decisions. Stressed about what to watch? Don’t worry, because Dan has a list of 15 must-sees on the latest The Dan Cave. Check it out above. [Nerdist]

Back in Action. We’re in the middle of an Outlander drought, but dinna fash, lads and lassies! Season three is in production in Scotland. It’s based on Voyager, the third book of the series by Diana Gabaldon. The third season begins after Claire left Jamie before the Battle of Culloden and follows them as they try to build separate lives but then make their ways back to each other. Follow Outlander on Facebook to see behind-the-scenes pics as filming progresses.

Manipulation. Francis Lawrence, director of three of the four Hunger Games films, is bringing a dystopian world to television with a new horror series called Basilisk. FX picked up the show that’s about people being manipulated by “a malevolent, god-like AI.” Are there ever benevolent god-like AIs? [A.V. Club]

Review City. Related to the topic of TV shows you should give a chance: I have some reviews for you! Alicia has awesome things to say about FX’s Better Things, and Matt has some thoughts on Atlanta (PS: you can watch the first episode above). Finally, Michael goes back in time to revisit the epic season one finale of Game of Thrones in the latest Game of Thrones Re-Throned.

The Man in Black. Ed Harris has appeared as the intimidating-looking Man in Black in trailers for Westworld, but who is he? Well, some might consider it a spoiler to dive into his character details, but if you’re okay with knowing, point your browser to Nerdist to get the intel.

Hell in a Handbasket. WGN America’s Salem keeps getting bigger and more bizarre each season, and season three doesn’t look like it will disappoint. Things are going to hell when the show returns on November 2, as the witches try to remake the New World. What do you think of the newly released key art? [Image: WGN America]

New Addition. Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale has gained a new series regular with British actor O-T Fagbenle. He’ll play Luke, husband to star Elisabeth Moss’ character in the series about a totalitarian society where women are treated as the property of the state. [Deadline]

Open Doors. Marvel’s chief creative officer Joe Quesada regularly downloads the latest to CBR, and he recently discussed the possibilities of comics material making their way to movies and film. He said, “If Marvel is a wheel, comics are the hub and everything else spokes out.” He specifically called out Ms. Marvel, a.k.a. Kamala Khan, as a title that is currently resonating with readers and said, “You can be sure that, somewhere down the road, she will be a part of the future of Marvel in other media.” I hope she gets a TV series! Read the complete interview with Quesada at CBR. [The Hollywood Reporter]
