A Happy Reunion. Netflix and Amy Sherman-Palladino shared the first page of the first episode of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on Entertainment Weekly. “Winter” opens with Rory returning to Stars Hollow to the sort of warm and fuzzy reunion you’d expect between her and Lorelai. Ready to Spin. Prep your record player for some smooth retro-new synth tunes because Stranger Things has a release date for the vinyl format. Not So Fast. Rumors about Angela Lansbury starring in season seven of Game of Thrones have flown around the internet these past few days, but everyone needs to cool their jets—it’s not true. The rumor originated in a tabloid called Bild, so it’s not exactly surprising that the statement is false. The actress’ team confirmed to EW on Wednesday that Lansbury won’t be heading to Westeros. Back in Action. We’re in the middle of an Outlander drought, but dinna fash, lads and lassies! Season three is in production in Scotland. It’s based on Voyager, the third book of the series by Diana Gabaldon. The third season begins after Claire left Jamie before the Battle of Culloden and follows them as they try to build separate lives but then make their ways back to each other. Manipulation. Francis Lawrence, director of three of the four Hunger Games films, is bringing a dystopian world to television with a new horror series called Basilisk. FX picked up the show that’s about people being manipulated by “a malevolent, god-like AI.” Are there ever benevolent god-like AIs? [A.V. Club]

New Addition. Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale has gained a new series regular with British actor O-T Fagbenle. He’ll play Luke, husband to star Elisabeth Moss’ character in the series about a totalitarian society where women are treated as the property of the state. [Deadline]
Open Doors. Marvel’s chief creative officer Joe Quesada regularly downloads the latest to CBR, and he recently discussed the possibilities of comics material making their way to movies and film. He said, “If Marvel is a wheel, comics are the hub and everything else spokes out.” He specifically called out Ms. Marvel, a.k.a. Kamala Khan, as a title that is currently resonating with readers and said, “You can be sure that, somewhere down the road, she will be a part of the future of Marvel in other media.” I hope she gets a TV series!
