Featurette: Directing Season 4
Whether you’ve read the books or not, it likely hasn’t escaped you that the scope and scale of season four is going to be huge. Epic. Insane. Awesome. And the only way to get that right? Having a director who knows what the hell they’re doing. In this wee video, some of this season’s directors discuss the challenges and excitement that comes with creating such a rich and fantastical landscape:

Trailer: Awaken
Ominous, pulsating music. A pained-looking Cersei. Running Mance Rayder. Jon Snow declaring that the world has fallen apart. Some seriously badass-looking dragons (The VFX budget on this show must be IMPRESSIVE). “It’s coming.” This trailer is equal parts thrilling and terrifying (in a good way). Also now feels as good a time as any to say we’re ready to get more than a passing glance of those White Walkers. Aren’t you?:

Trailer: All Men
Starting off with images of a destroyed and snowed-in Red Keep (from Dany’s trip to the House of the Undying?) is one way to drive home the point that we’re in for even more changes and extreme situations. Heavy on the swordplay, the “all men” trailer is really driving home the point that, yeah, your favorite character is probably going to die soon if they haven’t already. George R.R. Martin, you’re the cruelest king of all!:
