QUANTICO: Watch the First 8 Minutes of the FBI Drama Right Now

There’s so many shows on TV these days, whether it’s a returning series or a brand-new show about to premiere. How do you pick what to watch and what to ignore? Well, we’re here to help! Allow us to introduce you to your newest TV obsession: Quantico.

ABC’s new FBI mystery series has not premiered yet (we’re still a little more than a week away from the official broadcast debut), but the network is releasing the first eight minutes of the twisty drama early to get you hooked now. And believe us, once you see the rest of the pilot episode of the action-thriller show, you’ll be sucked in for good and dying for more immediately. We’re speaking from experience.

Quantico stars Bollywood’s it girl Priyanka Chopra as Alex Parrish, a new FBI recruit among an elite, diverse group arriving at the FBI Quantico Base for their initial training to become agents. Described as the best, the brightest and the most vetted, it would seem practically impossible for one of these new recruits to be masterminding the biggest attack on New York City since 9/11. But every single one of them is hiding something, even Alex herself.

And though Quantico may not come from ABC’s reigning TV queen, Shonda Rhimes, there’s a striking similarity between Alex’s first day at her new career-making job and Grey’s Anatomy protagonist Meredith Grey’s (Ellen Pompeo) first day at Seattle Grace Hospital. See if you can spot it in the video above. (Hint: it’s probably best not to have a one-night stand the night before or morning of the first day of your new job. But that’s just a suggestion.)

Quantico

When Alex finds herself in the center of the investigation mere minutes after the attack, she realizes she’s being set up in a huge conspiracy that could run all the way up to the top of the government she’s just sworn to serve. Awkward.

Quantico tells its story in a way that will remind viewers of ABC’s most recent hit, How To Get Away With Murder. Both series take place partly in flashbacks, with Quantico‘s flashback storyline showing the early days of the recruits training at the FBI base, as they bond and compete with each other, uncovering their secrets along the way. The present day storyline takes place after the terrorist attack in New York City, with Alex working off the grid to clear her name and figure out which of her friends and colleagues set her up and orchestrated the attack and why. The pilot sets up the story in an intriguing way, and there will be some twists and shocking reveals near the end that you will not see coming.

The first eight minutes of the premiere episode hits the ground running, introducing you to the most suspicious and seemingly most trustworthy of the recruits. It also gets hot and heavy real fast. Oh ABC, you sure do love bringing new meaning to the term “Not Safe For Work.”

Quantico also stars Jake McLaughlin as Alex’s fellow recruit/love interest Ryan Booth, Aunjanue Ellis as Miranda Shaw, Yasmine Al Masri as Nimah Anwar, Johanna Braddy as Shelby Wyatt, Tate Ellington as Simon Asher, Graham Rogers as Caleb Haas, Anabelle Acosta as Nathalie Vazquez and Josh Hopkins as FBI Special Agent Liam O’Connor.
