A glorious thing is happening at Los Angeles’Â NerdMelt Theater this weekend: puppets! Puppet Town is back, and we welcome our puppet overlords with open arms. The sketch comedy show for kids features puppets (obviously), music and dancing, and lots of laughs. It sounds like they’ll even have some special additions just for Halloween. Sign me up. The show will be hosted by guest Stephnie Weir (MADtv, The Millers) and will feature top comedians in Los Angeles and puppeteers from Broadway’s Avenue Q. So basically, you’ll see the best of the best.
Want to get a better idea of what to expect from the show? Watch Puppet Town’s sizzle reel â heck, go ahead and show it to your kids to see what they think:
The show was created by Alex Fox and Rachel Lewis, and as you can see from the clip, it has a variety of characters in both human and puppet form. There’s an orange furry guy named Fuzz Face, a cute and floppy looking brown puppet called Sheldon, and then there’s Cherry and Vincent â the diva and the serious actor.
Puppet Town takes place at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 25th. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. However, all kids under 12-years-old get in free. You can purchase your tickets at Hold My Ticket. Oh, and kids are encouraged to come in costume. I think the kids should get bonus points if they dress like puppets.
Keep up with the latest from Puppet Town on Facebook and Twitter.
