Love the positive feeling you two are creating. Focussed, positive, yet calm in some way. Keep it up! Looking forward to training plans or diet debunks etc…

  2. Drew says:

Hey there guys. Just wanted to thank you again for being such a positive force out there and genuinely caring about your listeners even though you may have never met most of them. I’m 30 years old and I work an office job. I do walk to work (1.5 miles, each way) and try to take at least one walk during the day to keep myself from being sedentary and staring at the screen for 8 hours straight. I try to drink a lot of water and eat many smaller meals during the day. My question isn’t necessarily about weight loss but more about fixing my posture. I don’t belong to a gym but have done many cardio and dumbbell workouts on my own. What are some things I can do in my daily life (both at home and at work) to help me out with my posture? Thanks and keep up the great work!

    • Tom says:

Thanx Drew, appreciate the kind words! we will get to as many questions as we canon the podcast so keep listening & thanx again for sharing & the question.

    • Brandon says:

Hey Drew. We have similar lifestyles, except I’m driving (32 miles is a bit to walk each day). And my posture has been slacking for awhile, too.

Try a standing desk, if you can. It has helped with some lower back tension I was experiencing. It’s also been a great conversation starter, lol

In particular, just try to stay mindful of your posture. Do you meditate? If so, you know how you catch your mind wonderful off, and you have to consciously pull it back in and focus on your breathing? Same idea:

When I sit, I try to be mindful of how I’m sitting. Then, I shift focus to the task at hand. When I catching myself slumping, and actively changing my posture. I’ll inevitably slump back down, and repeat the process.

      Like everything else, it’s a practice 🙂

  3. B. Mac says:

I enjoyed the content but there was some odd edit cuts in the middle of conversations.  At first I thought it was the computer, but I replayed them a few times and kept hearing it.  I think I am used to more flowing conversations (from other Nerdist Podcasts) and I think the obvious edit cuts could be covered up a bit.  Thanks though!
