Preview Adrianne “Mockingbird” Palicki’s First Appearance in This Week’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

This week, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. welcomes the first major superhero to the show since Deathlok reared his cybernetic head last season. Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse played by one-time Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki (of G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Friday Night Lights fame) will make her debut in “A Wolf in the Hen House.” And — thanks to Marvel.com — we’ve got five photos and two video clips for you to preview the resulting mayhem. In the first clip, Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) meets with femme fatale Raina (Ruth Negga), who, last week, was given just forty-eight hours to deliver the mysterious Obelisk to Hydra leader Daniel Whitehall, lest the soft-spoken villain punish her in some unspeakable way… On the bright side — James Bond eat your heart out! — when we last saw Coulson, the S.H.I.E.L.D. director was dancing with Agent May, and now it looks like he’s in a swanky restaurant about to dine with his loveliest enemy…

In the second clip, Mockingbird is introduced as Hydra’s no-nonsense head of security, who’s sniffed out a mole in the organization’s midst, partnered with Whitehall’s right-hand torturer Bakshi…

Is S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist Simmons’ cover about to be blown? If so, is Raina responsible? So much intrigue. All coming our way Tuesday, October 21st at 9pm ET on ABC. The show’s improved tremendously in its second season, and getting better with each episode. So if you haven’t tuned in lately, you might want to give it another chance. Afterwards, be sure to stop back here on Wednesday morning for my review.

Here’s our glorious gallery of images from “A Wolf in the Hen House”, which includes the return of Skye’s dad, “The Doctor” (played by Twin Peaks‘ Kyle MacLachlan).
